Also missed mentioning the elephant massage. It was a really amazing experience with an elephant massaging me with its foot. It was one of those, once in a life time, experience. I never have and will probably ever, put so much faith in an animal again in my life.
South of France (Nice/Monte Carlo/Provence - 2006) This was one of the most fun trips we had. It started in Nice. We were lucky to have great weather in Nice. We drove from Nice to the wine country tasting excellent French wine along the way and visiting historic sites such as a Roman acqueduct at Pont du Gard and a coliseum in Arles. We stayed in quaint and beautifully decorated farm houses along the way which had been converted into Bed and Breakfasts'. It did help that we could speak French since most folks outside Paris seem to speak little or no English.
We drove back to Nice through the historic city of Marseille and even had a chance to visit the Festival de Cannes held in May 2006.
We then drove into Monte Carlo for some gambling and had an incident where our rental car was damaged while being parked in the Garage in the Casino. But that was handled by our insurance.

ReplyDeleteWe had an amazing trip that included an elephant safari, lots of massages, beautiful beaches (Krabi and Phuket) and good food.
